About Me

Personal. Evidence-based. At eye level.

My Approach

Every person deserves to be accompanied with appreciation and attentiveness. In my practice, I create a space where you can feel heard, seen, and accepted – just as you are. Because only a secure foundation enables emotional openness and possibilities for change.

Psychotherapy

As a licensed psychological psychotherapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy, I offer psychological psychotherapy and psychodiagnostics in my private practice. My goal is to develop a shared understanding with you of how the problem arose and what maintains it. In the overall treatment concept, we address situational, cognitive, emotional, physical, and behavioral factors and develop individual strategies. The aim is to counteract various risk factors, provide you with expertise in dealing with the issue, and thus sustainably improve your health and quality of life.

Coaching

Beyond that, I support the mental – and therefore also physical – health of my clients through prevention and coaching services. My passion lies in achieving goals for self-development, strengthening self-confidence and resilience together, in order to establish lasting satisfaction, joy, and stability.

A special interest here lies in Positive Psychology. Instead of focusing exclusively on deficits and problems, this approach deliberately directs attention to strengths, resources, and what works well in life. By promoting positive emotions, personal strengths, and a meaningful life, well-being and resilience can be sustainably enhanced – a valuable addition to both coaching and prevention.

My Path to Psychotherapy

Growing up in a small town in the Main-Taunus district, I developed an early desire to support people in difficult life situations. A voluntary social year at a women's shelter and my volunteer work with children and young people strengthened my decision to pursue psychotherapy.

My openness to new experiences opened up diverse opportunities in Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. The decision to study abroad in the Netherlands was driven by the diversity and international perspectives that an English-language program offers. I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Groningen. The desire for a practice-oriented master's led me to the University of Leiden, where a six-month internship in psychiatry was an integral part of the program. To complement my professional expertise, I also completed a master's in Neuropsychology in Groningen. This was followed by several years of psychotherapy training in Bavaria, during which I simultaneously deepened my knowledge of behavioral therapy at the University of Bern.

My training at the universities of Bern, Leiden, and Groningen has enabled me to learn different perspectives on mental health. I bring this diversity into my daily work – in therapy and coaching alike.

Practical experience in forensic psychiatry, pain therapy, psychological counseling for families, and outpatient psychotherapy have shaped my approach. It is important to me that you feel well cared for. Together, we develop solutions that fit you and your life.
